Christopher Grotke grew up in newsrooms—his mother was a longtime newspaper reporter. A co-founder of, he’s responsible for the day-to-day site moderation and maintenance and is a regular contributor, reporting primarily on the Brattleboro selectboard as well as town history. He’s been an advocate for citizen media since running the public-access media-arts program at the Capital Children’s Museum in Washington, DC, in the early 1990s.
