A native Vermonter, John Dimick graduated from the University of Vermont in 1971 and went on to teach special education, industrial arts, and middle school technology education for thirty-seven years in Brattleboro. He has enjoyed drawing all of his life, and when he retired from teaching in 2009 he started working in watercolors. A member of the Saxton’s River Art Guild, he is also a signature member of the Vermont Watercolor Society. His work has been juried into many art shows in the region and his paintings can be found in private collections throughout the country.
