Richard Wizansky is a founder of Total Loss Farm and has lived in Guilford since 1968. In addition to authoring essays, reviews, and poems, Wizansky edited and contributed to Home Comfort: Life on Total Loss Farm, a 1973 Book of the Month Club selection, and, with Joan Moody, edited Earthwork: A Resource Guide to Nationwide Green Jobs (1993). Wizansky is a Vermont Humanities Council Scholar and leads book discussions throughout the state. He holds a doctorate in education policy and research, and until recently was on the graduate school faculty of Marlboro College. He currently chairs Guildford’s selectboard.
