The Vermont Folklife Center is a nationally recognized organization focusing on educating communities on folklife through observation, interviews, and hands on participation. The Centers mission is to deepen and expand Vermonter’s understanding of their local communities. The VFC has developed extensive archives over the years including over 5,000 taped interviews, and 20,000 historical photographs. The resources at the VFC have been incredibly important to the Brattleboro Words Project.
