We are pleased to announce we’ve launched the Brattleboro Words Trail Podcast May 1, 2023 to enhance the reach of the community-created audio stories currently available in place-tagged segments on the GPS-triggered Brattleboro Words Trail Stqry app and platform.
Our first episode features the story of Brattleboro’s own Nobel Peace Laureate Jody Williams. Lissa Weinmann hosts the show, with engineering support from Alec Pombriant. Visiting hosts associated with the different stories and other guests will be featured in the months ahead.
In June, we’ll turn our sites on author Chuck Collins. In subsequent months we will hear stories about Saul Bellow, Clarina Howard Nichols, Tasha Tudor, Andrew Kopkind and other colorful characters you meet on the Brattleboro Words Trail only in slightly longer format.
The Podcast is free on Apple, Google, Spotify, Amazon and other places people typically find podcasts.
We’d like to thank the Vermont Arts Council for its support for expanding the platforms that bring this unique and valuable community-created storytelling to a wider public through a 2022 ‘Building Digital Capacities’ grant.
